Last week we talked about Trust and the role trust plays in accomplishing work with remote teams. This week, we wanted to remind supervisors that accountability strategies aren’t just in place because supervisors impose them. Employees can work on strategies that help them stay focused and accountable.
Please share these tips with your remote team members:
- Set a routine and stick to it!
- Set specific goals, daily, weekly, and monthly
- Use Checklists
- Create a work zone free from distractions as much as possible
- Block off your schedule to complete critical tasks
Finally, find an Accountability Partner; the American Society of Training and Development found that 65% of people say they’re more likely to meet a goal if they communicate it to another person. Here’s a good article on accountability partners.
