To say that education has been tough this past year would be an understatement. With many people having to become stay-at-home educators in addition to full-time employees or students, the struggles of making sure your kids stay educated at home has been difficult.
In light of this, Central New Mexico Community College and CNM Ingenuity have offered a series of 3 different workshops to engage “Parents as Virtual Partners.” The workshops cover many different topics to help students, parents and parent educators get through the pandemic and distance learning efficiently and effectively.
The first two workshops in the series have passed, and the third and final workshop, “Survival 102 for Parents as Virtual Partners,” will give insights on the impacts the pandemic crisis is having on people and how to connect with other parents and parent educators to identify strategies to get you and your kids through the end of the year.
Running a total of six times, this last workshop will have three sessions in English and three sessions in Spanish. The workshop is free for all parents of NM public (including charter) school students. Each session is geared toward a specific school level to help you get the most you can out of each workshop.
