The mattress manufacturer, Tempur-Pedic, is experiencing an uptick in sales and seeks to hire more than 100 new employees for its Albuquerque facility. To protect potential employees and hiring agents, Tempur-Pedic is conducting interviews with candidates from their cars, in the parking lot of the company’s Westside manufacturing plant at 12907 Comfort Way, this week.
Job candidates are encouraged to make their way to the manufacturing plant, fill out a questionnaire and prepare for a short interview. The company seeks employees to fill positions in a variety of departments and roles, including assembly, fabrication, quality control, maintenance, chemical techs, safety, engineers, and supervisors. Wages start at $15.35 an hour, depending on the job, and new hires will be eligible for benefits.
The Tempur-Pedic interviews will be conducted:
From 8:00 a.m. – noon on Thursday, August 5
From 7:00 a.m. – noon on Friday, August 6
From 8:00 a.m. – noon on Saturday, August 7
Here are a few tips for putting your best wheels forward: clean out and freshen your car! First impressions are still important, even in a parking lot interview. Wear your “Sunday best,” and a clean mask is required! Remember to gas up your vehicle. You don’t want to run out of fuel while you’re waiting to be interviewed! Make sure to stay hydrated, and don’t forget to put your car in park during your interview!
